Rachana's Travel Documents Approved!!

Time for a quick swim this morning before Aruna picked us up to go and collect Rachana's Travel Document. Got there to find we were looking at at least an hour wait so we went into Thamel to kill some time. Returned to find we had missed our assigned number which led to some more anxious waiting. Can you spot Mick listening for Rachana's name at the window!?


Thankfully everything was fine, and after another long wait we finally got her document. Another step completed!


Then it was back to the hotel for a celebratory beer (and wine of course) by the pool. To Rob S and Andy H - cheers to Gorkha Beer - the local brew!!


And for those of you asking for more video............Rachana made a calll today. Any help with translation much appreciated!!!...................................


Still haven't received word about the final document we need, but we are able to go ahead with our embassy interview tomorrow. At least this way we will have everything done, and we won't lose any days. As soon as the document is visible to the embassy the visa can be issued. We have a small amount of breathing room!!

    Great to hear that Rachanas travel document has been approved and to at last be holding her passport.You must be so pleased to be nearly at the end of such a long and stressful journey.
    Watched the video but our computor has no sound so I am eagerly awaiting for Danielle to get home from work so I can listen to it on her laptop - cant wait!!

    I finally saw a real yak, but it was on tv in Pakistan.

    Mom, Dad, George and I all got to hear Raya's voice. That phone is enough to make you wet yourself!!! Didn't expect such a deep voice out of such a cute little thing. One more paper and it's smooth sailing. Don't worry, be happy!!!

    Wheeew one more step done, almost there.Thank goodness they have alcohol there.

    I think Rachana was calling about her cable being out and she wanted a repairman sent over as quickly as possible.

    Rachana is very animated...telling the other person..."Look at that phone"...maybe she know the character "Peggy" from the credit card commercials...Glad you have her travel docks...can't wait to meet her in person...Claire is also wants to meet her...she'll be home 5/5...ready to help!!
