Our First Adventure as a Family.........

When Aruna picked us up she told us how some of the children were getting sick so she would ask if we could take her today, even though we will most likely not be able to sign everything until Sunday. It was a nervous wait while she spoke to the orphanage director. It was a beautiful day though and we spent the time outside giving her milk and cookies

We met with orphanage director and after a cup of tea in his office he gave us the okay! Soon she appeared in her new outfit ready to go (sort of!).

Actually leaving was really difficult for her and she was not so happy. The forty five minute ride seemed like hours! Back at the hotel we left Aruna and for the first time it was just the three of us! We explored the hotel a little and the tears stopped. There was so much for her to see! Then up to the room to explore all her new toys and clothes. The light up boots were a big hit! As she started to slow down she sat on the bed with us watching cartoons and eventually dropped off to sleep. As we are writing now she is sleeping soundly in her crib. A great end to an exhausting but unforgettable day!!!
