One Step Backward Two Steps Forward......

Today we stopped at another children's home that was started by Aruna. She has seventeen children living there right now, mostly young. It was bright and cheery and the kids wasted no time jumping all over us. We met a volunteer who was over from Scotland and was staying in Nepal for 5 months to help the orphans! These people amaze us!

When we arrived at Children's Home we were a little disappointed. We thought she would be happier to see us! But once we took out crayons and a coloring book she perked up.

Pulled another trick from our magic backpack - balloons! Everyone in the room was happy until one popped!!  Then the popping game began!!  Not many tricks left.

The highlight of the day was her laughing and talking with Danielle. "Good Job" were her first English words, with the thumbs up of course. She also repeated "Hi" and "See you soon" when we were using the Flip camera (we'll try to post later).

Her giggle is so contagious! Just pick her up, spin her, flip her and the laughing begins!

It was another tiring day though. Thirteen small children are very demanding!

Tomorrow we are planning to bring cake for all fifty children to celebrate her last day (hopefully!). We stopped at a bakery on the way home so we could order it - complete with Minnie Mouse icing! Their pastries and cakes are fantastic! We need the Ministry to come back from Italy so we can have her to ourselves!!  Friday should be our handing over ceremony!!  Keep your fingers crossed!
